We’ve started biblesync as an initiative to get you reading the Bible every day. Being a follower of Jesus on your own can be hard work, but learning with others is powerful and more fun. Biblesync is about getting people to read the Bible in community, which can be as simple as knowing that each day other people from your church are reading the same passages as you, or by linking up with friends using twitter and social media – more here. The challenge is to read the Bible everyday, but if you miss a day (or a few!) then just pick up where you left off and don’t worry about catching up. There are different ways to receive your daily readings – find out more here. The Biblesync readings are taken from the NIV Bible in a year plan – if you complete all the reading in a year you will have read through the whole Bible. Each day you have three readings, one taken from the Old Testament, one from the New Testament and a Psalm or some Proverbs. If you read all three it will take less than 15 minutes; if you read just the New Testament and the Psalm it will take about 5 minutes – you choose the option that works for you.
